The Best Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 2 cups + 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoons baking soda
- 8 ounces (1 cup = 2 sticks) butter, softened at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 12 ounce bag (2 cups) gourmet semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions: How To Make Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper or spraying with vegetable shortening.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
- Using a beater attachment and a stand mixer, beat butter on medium speed until creamy.
- Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Scrape bowl.
- Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and beat again. Scrape.
- Turn mixer to low speed and add the flour mixture a few cups at a time until it is mixed well.
- Scrape the bowl good to make sure everything is blended and there is no flour at the bottom.
- Using a cookie scoop or Tablespoon, measure out the cookie dough and place on prepared sheets leaving some room to spread.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until slightly firm around the edges. Cookies will continue to bake for a few minutes after you take them out of the oven.
- Remove to cooling racks and cool completely before storing in airtight containers.
- Makes 25-30 warm, ooey, gooey soft Chocolate Chip Cookies!
